State any opposition in this community against continued support for the proxy war in Ukraine, or say anything about being upset Democrats helped end the ban on arming Nazis so they could send weapons to Ukraine.

Then watch the flood of “progressives” that suddenly support war. And it’ll be the same arguments as the Zionists, claiming Russia started it and history began when they invaded, conveniently leaving out the years of western provocations before and broken peace agreements by Ukraine.

LoL. Love that you NAFO turds are stuck with just downvoting this one, because you know any comment you have is going to prove my point.

This is clear Russian propaganda that doesn’t deserve a response, but I’m bored so why not…

Those aren’t remotely comparable. Ukraine is in a defensive war and Isreal is in an offensive war. Progressives tend to support democracy and human rights, so I see no contradiction. Calling Ukraine nazis is tired bullshit that only gullible idiot tankies believe. I have no clue what you’re talking about with the “ban on arming nazis” or “western provocations” or any “broken peace agreements” because they have no basis in reality.

There it is!! Same rehashed Zionist arguments that it’s defensive, history starts when Russia finally fought back, refusal to acknowledge the peace agreements even existed, and blanket denial of the ideology US backed forces are fighting for.

The denial of the existence of the Minsk agreements is a new shift. Usually y’all just claim Ukraine wasn’t obligated to stick to them. Let’s see if the other nafo’s are pushing that, too.

And theres some more bullshit propaganda!

When zionost make that claim everyone knows they are lying based on the fact that they invaded Gaza. When Ukraine makes that claim, it is obviously true because they are being invaded. We have all seem Russian tactics of sending in “little green men” to instigate violence which they then use as justification for an invasion. They’ve done over and over again. Russia is a anti-democractic hell hole. I completely understand Ukraine not wanting them to take over, especially after the history you mentioned earlier… but I know Russians consider the holodomor to be a lie.

And all of the provocations and broken agreements before the invasion? Ukraine and NATO amassing troops and missiles at the border in violation of peace agreements? The soft coup led by the US installing a far-right puppet government in 2014?

            You people are a joke.

This has got to be a gish-gallop. I’ve never heard of any of this. 2014 was after Russia already invaded. And the only peace agreements I’m aware of is the one where Ukraine gave up their nukes for a agreement that Russia would never invade them, and that the US would support Ukraine if they did.

Never claimed to be well informed…

A quick search says that the Minsk agreement was never signed by anyone with the authority to do so. The “Maiden Coup” or “Maiden Revolution” can be framed any way you want, but I guess I would prefer to error on the side of democracy. People clearly wanted to work closer with the EU and Yanukovych was only gonna do what russia wanted. So once again, progressives supporting democracy is not a contradiction.

If you’re not well informed, you’re not in a position to accuse anyone else of spreading propaganda about it.

And look at that, reliably pushing the nafo script anyway.

About those claims, yes. I definitely don’t ever remember any nato troops amassing. I feel like that would’ve been pretty big news. And I have serious doubts about what you would consider “western provocations”.

It was big news. Obama was fortifying the Ukrainian border for years after the coup. Right before Obama left office, he put more troops there than could be sustained, and then when they were pulled back out the Obama officials said it proved Trump’s fealty to Russia.

It was all over the news for years. Couldn’t have been missed by anyone paying attention.

They always do. Claim to know nothing, and then suddenly know enough to push back against every point against Ukraine, even though they were acting confused a comment or two before. It’s part of the script.

I agree that most people ignore NATO and Ukrainian provocations, but that doesn’t mean that this isn’t just another spat between imperialist states. Supporting one side or another does nothing to help the working class people caught in the middle.

Because you think Ukraine attacked Russia? What reality was that, because it ain’t this one.
And I don’t think many people still support Israel’s attacking of civilians in Gaza even without considering that the Oct attacks were provoked by decades of conflict.
Russia’s murderous attempted conquest of Ukraine is unforgivable. Just because little putin didn’t like Ukraine moving to align with the west - that doesn’t justify attacking militarily. There’s a lot of blood on putin’s hands. And it’s also on the hands of pussy Russians who don’t stand up against his atrocities .

Ukraine was allowing the US & NATO to station troops and missiles at the Russian border, in violation of peace agreements. Russia tried to broker peace deals, and the west doubled down on provocations.

Not just Gaza civilians. Hamas also has every legal & moral right to fight against their oppressors. Israel, as the occupier, has no legal rights in the fight against Hamas.
