    This week I learned that bumblebees are bees too. It’s obvious you might think, but the Germans call them Hummel.

    They live in hives of 100-150. Unlike many wild bees which are solitary animals like bears and unlike bees… Wait.

      In French we call them bourdons, and since it’s a masculine word (i.e. le bourdon) I thought they were male bees. Never too late to learn anything!
