I can’t downvote any content from any instance

Several instances disable downvotes for their users. The one I am on does as well, so that brigading and botted downvotes by queerphobic people are less effective iirc.

In practice I can’t downvote things and they also don’t get shown to me.

I really don’t get your point. I consider myself to be an anarcho-communist and will start a volunteer year at an archaeoligical institution to see if I want to study it at a university.

You don’t need to love your country to learn about it.
