• 1. alle Treibhausgasemissionen (CO2-Äquivalente)
• 2. integriert über die letzten 200 Jahre, wir haben da nämlich etwas Vorsprung gegenüber z.B. China
• 3. Sollte man dabei auch die Emissionen inkludieren, die durch den Konsum innerhalb Deutschlands bedingt sind.

Viellicht is das aber auch der Schlüssel, den wir brauchen um die Leute mitzunehmen. Die Auswirkungen der Hitzewellen spüren auch die Leute, die menschengemachten Klimawandel bezweifeln. Schwindende Energiesicherheit durch aktuelle und bevorstehende Krisenlagen auf der Welt und unzuverlässige fossile Energieerzeugung dank Niedrigwasserständen in den Flüssen kommen dazu. Erneuerbare Energien bieten da die Chance Vorsorge zu treffen durch erhöhten Autarkiegrad und beim nächsten Rekordsommer im klimatisierten Eigenheim mit kostenlosem Solarstrom sich wie Krösus zu fühlen.

Damit kriegt man vielleicht auch mal Leute überzeugt, für die Klimaschutz keine hinreichende Motivation darstellt und die politisch aufs Glatteis geführt wurden. Direkt spürbare positive Effekte für das eigene Leben können sowas in der Regel überwiegen.

Äußerst zweischneidige Angelegenheit. In unserem aktuellen System hast du halt irgendwie die Wahl zwischen einem staatlichen Bildungssystem, abhängig von politischen Entscheidungen und einem privatwirtschaftlich organisiertem, abhängig von direkten Profitinteressen.

Bei der Auswahl ist es mir dann doch lieber, wenn die Kapitalinteressen zumindest noch den Umweg über die Politik gehen müssen, anstatt direkt am Steuer zu sitzen.

I think it should have been clear from my text, that imho the issue lies in food production rather than food consumption and that what kinds of food you’re eating and how it was produced is the part of this issue, that you have some control over. I mean, consumers can’t buy what “the market^TM” don’t offer and yadda yadda yadda, but at least you can do more about it than about the fact, that you need to breathe at all. (Apart from drastic measures, that I neither expect nor recommend)

Imho, food that tastes good is more satisfying and keeps you fuller for longer. The downside is, that I tend to overeat, when it’s too good.

Vielleicht nicht für exakt die Art LLM-slop wie wir ihn heute erleben, aber gemessen an den politischen Entscheidungen die im real-existierenden Sozialismus so teilweise getroffen wurden halte ich es für sehr naheliegend, dass da durchaus großes Interesse bestanden hätte. Und ebenfalls großes Potenzial für eine katastrophale Umsetzung.

And I think my local library has Guardians of the Galaxy lying around on DVD. So I might actually give those a shot some time soon. Or at least the first one, and see how it goes. And maybe that Spider-Man incarnation. At least he’s a character I’m kinda familiar with. I remember playing him in Marvel vs Street Fighter a lot.

But those are only half truths. They’re omitting the fact, that a lot of the biomass we’re eating comes from farming. Those plants that collect carbon dioxide from the atmosphere use a lot of synthetic fertilizers to grow, which itself uses A LOT of fossil energy to be produced. A lot of that plant biomass is fed to livestock to produce different kinds of foods that the market^TM demands, while emitting methane and ammonia and nitrous oxides, some of which are far worse greenhouse gasse, than CO2.

And then there’s the whole issue of food waste and bullshit products you can buy at the supermarket that might contribute a little bit to your ability to exhale CO2 but come with insane amounts of useless packaging (made from petrol, and the best case scenario for them is, that they’re going to be burned in a waste incinerator later).

People breathing is breaking the natural carbon cycle in lots of places, and part of the problem is, that they are being fed by capitalism.

I was a teen when the very first Spiderman movie came out, and I found it quite entertaining at the time. (Kirsten Dunst might have had something to do with it)

I was also ok with the X-Men and saw Iron Man, which still was okayish but started to feel a bit silly to me.

I’ve kinda lost interest in those kinds of superhero movies. Sure I kinda liked Watchmen, if only for the great soundtrack, and ofc I’ve seen the praised Batman Trilogy (Begins, Dark Knight, Returns), I also kinda enjoyed Kickass for being partly a parody of its own genre. But after that era, I’ve never really felt the urge to watch any of these movies.

What am I missing out on? Which movies do you consider a must see (or at least great entertainment) even for someon who doesn’t know a whole lot about the MCU beforehand and has never read a comic book like that?
