That is a pretty lit stat. I guess I’d dump a few scores for that

Poorly worded memes aside this really is one of the places on fediverse where you have no enemies. Lady Butterfly is pretty chill and empathetic when she’s actually running the account manually so I think she’d get it. I’ve seen you go to bat for other stigmatized people who to my knowledge you didn’t have an intersection in common with so I think you deserve that too.
As for everyone’s awareness of personality disorders, it’s all a work in progress right? Gotta meet people where they’re at. And I hope where you’re at feels better soon.
Many of us have had turbulent relationships with parents or siblings. Combine that with the cloud of pop-psy disinfo surrounding personality disorders it’s bound to happen.
I personally don’t know how to call it out without making people feel like I’m blaming them for something real they suffered at the hands of a disregulated person, or an average abuser who they perceive to be disregulated. Coming at the issue from that side just seems like it will only spread the stigma.
Has anyone out there survived this character creation diceroll?

The home depot near me ran out of these. I had to drive to the next town over just to find they only had them going the other direction. Guess my DIY project is on hold

2·20 days agoThat sounds enticing. For as much as I simp for TNG the thing I hated most on it was the moralizing. Even though the writers politics would align with my own, they undermined the premise of the setting by creating this unusual situations then trying to project 21st century morality on to every one of them.
More open ended quandaries sound refreshing. Alright, I’m convinced. My DS9 marathon is hereby abridged. Gonna watch TOS for now

World News@quokk.au•Ruling pro-Putin party set to win Russia’s tightly controlled wartime parliamentary election
1·22 days agoYears ago I watched a documentary about Putin and all the legwork he did winning over America since the 90’s. It said he doesn’t have to fix elections as much as people assume he does since the corruption he intentionally implies convinced enough people to stop participating in voting. I wonder if that still holds to this day or if we’re starting to see similar sit outs from voting in the US for the same reason.

2·22 days agoThanks! It was fun to watch all this now at an age where I’d get it. Another important mention that often comes up about TNG when talking about episodes with a stance on violent resistance is S3E12 because of how it views the topic of terrorism and martyrdom. That one didn’t have any specific conditions that point to the Israel-Palestine conflict but it was notably pulled from the air in UK and Ireland
