1·10 months agoELI5: what does it mean to cheat at golf? I’ve only golfed about 6 times in my life, and everyone I’ve golfed with does a Mulligan on every other hole, tosses a ball hit into tall grass onto the fairway, throws out a new ball if they hit it into the woods, etc. They’ll usually add another stroke to their score for these, but what does it matter if you’re only playing against yourself?
Obviously if you’re playing in a tournament or professionally, doing the above would count as “cheating”, but it’s not clear to me where the line is

This is just for the Democratic primary, not the general election - but the same idea applies there, as it weakens the ability of the party leadership to choose who wins
