I also just watched the new season of the Diplomat and really enjoyed it.
I think somewhere between West Wing and House of Cards is about right. Plus I’m always happy to see West Wing alumni on any show.
In the way of West Wing I do wish it were longer with some more lower stakes episodes. For example in season 3 we get a small time jump, it would have been nice to instead get a few slower episodes showing us what happened.
