Today’s game is Some more Ocarina of Time. I made it through Dodongo’s Cavern today (and without a shield surprisingly enough, all the fire stuff there makes it almost impossible for me to complete it without a shield) and i made a stop by Zora’s domain to end of my night.

It’s probably nostalgia bias because Ocarina of Time was my first brush with Zelda after getting it on the 3DS (The game play and just right combination of Heroics and Arthurian Elements was enough for younger me to be hooked) and I loved it immediately, so when i say “Ocarina of Time’s Zora’s Domain is one of my favorites” nostalgia is probably doing a lot of heavy lifting there. It’s just the ambience is perfect to me, and i love the design. Not to mention the abundance of water here. I do have a soft spot for BoTW’s Zora’s Domain too. It’s just as gorgeous.

I went by the Fairy Fountain and saw everyone’s favorite Owl again. I hate him, but still have a nostalgic soft spot for that hate. Still, i appreciate him acting as a shortcut down the mountain. After all the stuff he puts me through it’s the least he could do for me.

Dodongo was just as familiar as ever too. I’ve done these so many times they’re like second nature to me. It has a good example of why i love this game’s puzzle’s so much. I love the “Drop the Bombs in the Eye Sockets” puzzle. It fun and creative, plus it makes excellent use of ambient clues to tell the player how to do it.

Since i’m going backwards through my gameplay session, i may as well end off with one of the earliest screenshots i took. When I went to see Zelda, I went in at night and almost got caught. I could have sworn they caught you immediately but maybe i was wrong. Regardless i quickly backpedaled to and waited out the night until i could safely go in.
