Marriage registrations in China fell 6.2% year on year in the first quarter and are about half 2017 levels, official data show, underscoring the demographic strain in a country where childbearing remains closely tied to marriage.

Well, now I’m curious. I’m assuming your family comes from Canada. Why is he going to China?
My family was originally from China, now we’re in the US, most of my family are US Citizens.
I don’t think they like the idea of interracial (or even inter-ethnic) marriage… 1st generation tends to want to marry within their own ethnicity.
