China has reported its passenger car exports jumped 73% in May to around 809,000 vehicles. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said Wednesday that exports of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids more than doubled in May from a year earlier to about 435,000 units.
Meanwhile, US car makers are cranking out $100,000 giant pickups that no one wants and few can afford.
