Not fully understand that it amounts to nothing. So that they are conditioned into not demanding a drastic, impactful action.

Something, even if you see it as performative, is better than nothing
It’s less and worse than nothing. It gives most people an idea that somebody is doing something about it. Not fully understand that it amounts to nothing. So that they are conditioned into not demanding a drastic, impactful action.
Remember when Pelosi performed in Kinte Cloth and then nothing happened? We do.
