I’m an educator, and my Windows PC crashed during my first period class.

I had a cinnamon mint USB drive in my bag. I booted to it, and it saved the day!

I don’t have anybody to tell just how much of a godsend that was, but I figured you guys might appreciate it!

    Hardware problems like faulty RAM are a thing, though. Linux is good, but it is not magic. Not every crash is a software problem.

      I once had a faulty cpu and windows denied booting. I was able to tell grub to load the kernel an run off of 3 instead of four cores.

      I had that machine running another 2 years or so.
