i feel like fish react to human sex pheromones. of course there’s nothing scientific about this, but fish multiply a ton if you put their aquarium in an active bedroom (from experience of visiting my partner who had small fish)
Depending on the type of small fish, that’s just what they do.
Ive kept aquariums throughout my places for decades, the fish in the bedroom tanks breed about the same as any other tank, assuming I have the same kind of fish in both.
But if your partner had/has live-bearing fish (guppies, mollies, platies, sword tail, endler’s) those pop out babies like crazy. They can throw up to 30/month/female. Most of the babies will get eaten, unless its guppies which don’t eat their own young. They breed out of control very quickly.
