they just stop caring about women in that way.

From conversations with the older men I’ve known throughout life, I don’t think that happens for everyone. Maybe sporadically as life events come and go but even the actual old guys I’ve known (80yr olds) were still interested in romantic (and sexual) relationships; maybe more interested than someone in their 30s is.

That part came from a psychiatrist. It isn’t every guy for sure. But the % still interested drops a lot somewhere around 60 or something. And the average age expectancy for men in the us is 76.5. So the ones in their 80’s and still alive have a higher chance of still being interested mainly because the others died off. My personal opinion is that longevity and libido are commonly correlated. But I have no real data for that.

It doesn’t have to be libido alone, but someone aged 80+ might have lived large chunks of his live in a relationship, and is quite likely to be a widower. It makes sense that they are lonely and want what they had for a large part of their life.

Totally agree it is complicated. I just didn’t know a good way to concisely say it, so I went with Libido. I just hink if you look, you see people like rudy G. Somehow still alive. And still demanding blowjobs from his staff. While the doc says kost men past a certain age just don’t care anymore. And it seems to me the old ones who are still somehwat mentally aware, line up with the ones still commiting sex crimes. Probably a testosterone thing of some sort.
