In a comment on one of the videos in that channel, someone asked what was used to make the song and the “creator” reply was Suno, which I discovered is an AI music generator.

IMO, it’s disingenuous to not label the channel as AI generated, for a start. On top of that, I personally don’t think that AI music should be encouraged anyway. There is more than enough music created by real humans who deserve recognition for their talent.

Thanks @phant@lemmy.world. I queued it up this morning and listened to the album. Although I tend towards more up-beat stuff at the moment…the kind of gentle melancholia that kisses exhibits is definitely something that sits well within my historic listening radar.

Do you know Roller One? Not the same thing, country overtones, but also some nice melancholia.
