Yeah they drive around all summer in Norway. Hear them once or twice a week.

Still haven’t been able to find any Magigoo, so I gave it a crack and it worked like a charm!
Thanks for the advice!
My man!
Urge is still my go to every single time I want soda. Solo for easter and Julebrus for Christmas
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was that thing you got really good at, and how good are you?4·9 days agoReading people.
Had some troubles with family members and drugs growing up, so you learn to read situations and people real fast. I guess it’s a survival skill as addicts often say and do what they need to to get their next fix.A nice «skill» to have, even though I’d rather I didn’t need to develop it

Hoping a new Shield will come before it dies, alternatively I need to find something else. After I migrated to a N100 that does all transcoding for me, the media device itself is more about codec support, a nice UI and response times and less about raw power.

Glad to hear you kept the good bits and do allright for yourself these days!
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Our parents promised us we would feel like fools for thinking we were smarter than them as kids. When exactly does that start?1·13 days agoCan’t say I can relate, sadly.
Could you share some examples?
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Our parents promised us we would feel like fools for thinking we were smarter than them as kids. When exactly does that start?662·14 days agoThey never said I’d feel like a fool, but mentioned that I’d probably understand later in life, and they were spot on, but it comes gruadually.
As an example: when I started paying my own bills, I stopped taking endless showers and later started being frustrated when my kids do.
I also very recently started understanding why they hated smartphones with small screens as they typed so slowly, as I keep mis-typing more and more myself.
So I’d say it starts when moving out and the realities of life hits you square in the face, and then the rest come dripping slowly over time.
Becomming a parent slaps you with another big load as well.

A few positions could be posted on nav.no (government social security firm), but it’s not really worth checking. For language, if you’re serious, I’d probably find a Discord channel for people wanting to learn. It’s literally how I met the missus.
We all learn differently, but finding someone with a shared hobby that you can talk to while doing said hobby is effective. We had gaming in common.
Talking is, at least for me, a million times better than reading and studying.Best of luck to you, and let me know if you have any questions.
And: it’s not utopia here. We have issues as well. Just make sure you remove any rose tinted glasses before comitting countless hours.
I’ve been trying to get a hold of Magigoo for TPU, but it’s chronically sold out locally.
Have you tested it on smooth PEI, or just textured?
Appreciate the feedback!
Appreciate the insight mate! Much appreciated!
Tape seems to be a cheap way some of the “older” guys run with, so I have to test it at some point.

Non-Muricans, what's the thought on accepting US refugees?2·21 days agoYeah it’s tricky, but not impossible. We are small, but not small enough for most jobs to be handed out based on nepotism.
I’d say the main hurdle is language. If you don’t speak Norwegian, or another Scandinavian language, the selection of jobs shrinks considerably.
If you actually wish to move, I’d recommend looking for jobs on Finn.no and apply when something relevant pops up.
Being non-socially invested doesn’t disqualify you.Let me know if you’re serious and want some help.

It’s hosting Jellyfin with transcoding, PiHole, Home Assistant, Heimdal, a Valheim server and loads of other small LXC’s in Proxmox.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen it break a sweat.
The NAS holds the .arr stack and Qbit, but that’s it.I cannot speak to the longevity of it, but I repasted the CPU once I got it and it’s chilling below 45 degrees all day long, so I expect it to last for many years. I also enabled C-states to get idle consumption as low as possible, around 7-8W.
Best of luck with whatever setup you end up with mate!
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Outgrown my Synology NAS, time for a proper dedicated machineEnglish1·23 days agoI run a 4 bay and a N100 NUC.
The Synology is almost a pure storage machine. Works really well with Proxmox on the side. Not a single file has made it kneel yet, and I’ve thrown some high bitrate badboys on it.
Is not upgrading the drives an alternative?
I feel like you sacrifice a lot of practicality removing the NAS, such as automatic backup from phones and very easy remote access.
Personally I also prefer separating data and software, so I don’t lose it all if a component fails.Just my .02

Few mail order brides available though, so you’d have to make an effort finding someone who likes you back

Hard as fuck to get in, or so I’ve heard.
The shipping might be slower than you’re used to, but we check of on the rest.See you soon?
You have my deepest condolances.
Come to the Nordics for a coolcation next year, but stay safe untill the heat wave passes my friend!
Thanks for the advice! I might try a small Z-offset for first layer

Can confirm the gas powered ones work really well, but you gotta run it early in the season to catch the fuckers right after hatching.
A friend lives in moscito hell and could probably make burgers daily with the amount he catches.
