I’m getting hung up on “I’ll have half a pound of bright browns please” … “Look at that bright brown grove” … “A nice glass of bright brown juice”.
I originally typed it as 1) 2) 3) with single line breaks and it reformatted to 1. 2. 3.
Same with yours, it shows as 1. 2. 3. with single line breaks. It’s the same on Boost and via the feddit.uk site, so I don’t know what’s going on 🤷♂️
Just in case someone decides to heed this terrible advice…

Diagnoses are needed to get relevant professional help. Discouraging that is unhelpful.

There is literally something different in the brain of someone with a neurodivergent condition.

“There’s nothing wrong with you” is incredibly triggering for a lot of neurodivergent people.

I agree that societal attitudes are part of the problem, but that’s little solace to someone who’s struggling because there’s often little choice in whether or not they carry on by masking.

‘Neurodivergent’ may be a temporary term but it’s the best umbrella term we have right now. Denying that is basically erasure.

When I say “I’m a pervert”, this is what I mean.
1·1 year agoI’d second this as something people don’t get about ADHD.
So I work in IT support. If I’m absorbed in something complicated and you ask me to stop immediately to help you with your “more urgent” issue, please don’t take it personally if I seem annoyed while my brain short circuits trying to deal with the sudden gear change.
No surprises…
