I think a lot of realtors use some sort of generative imaging to furnish/stage empty homes on listings.

Maybe cocoa butter?

That was hilarious. I think it’s interesting how people use our different skills/experiences to determine whether something is A.I. (as proved by some of the comments shared in the video)… some people see the words first, some the hands, some the strange details, etc.

Great article. One of the best things i’ve done in recent years is delete the Facebook app from my phone. I’ve noticed how “boring” pixelfed is in comparison to Instagram, which is great, because it doesn’t suck my time away!
This quote really disgusted me:
Leaked internal presentations from Facebook (obtained by whistleblower Frances Haugen in 2021) revealed that the company knew its platform was causing measurable harm, especially to young users, yet downplayed these findings.
How irresponsible, but I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, either.

!leopardsatemyface@lemmy.world maybe? Not sure if that’s exactly what you’re looking for…

Social media is dead because Meta killed it.
Maybe people have stopped posting as much… But I only stopped posting because the platform became filled with garbage and it’s not worth my time to log on. If I could still interact with friends and family like you could 10 years ago, I would probably still be posting things.
I’ve been primarily reading/listening to books through my Libby app, and I keep a handful on hold at all times as well as a tagged list of books that have caught my eye, as well as by authors or narrators that I’ve enjoyed in the past.
Whenever I finish one book I can immediately see what’s up next in my holds and if that doesn’t appeal to me I can pick a book out of my interesting books list. There’s usually something that fits the right vibe for me and if there’s not, I can find something I’m likely to enjoy because it’s by an author I like.

I agree, Rings of Power is great! As someone who has read and watched LotR, but not the Silmarillion, I found it a nice step into the lore. I found a lot of it matches up decently with the appendices of LotR, even if the timeline isn’t accurate.

To himself most likely. Consider how a large vehicle can crush a small vehicle made to safety specs.
Now consider how it would go if the small vehicle was made of plastic.

“I got an orbee stuck in my ear, guys!”
Thanks for sharing the terminology! I believe I “towed in” on this particular image. I’ll have to try the parallel shot method next time.
Thank you! 🙏
That is helpful, thank you!
And yes, I think I misaligned them when I was trying to align them… I’ll figure it out eventually.
I’m afraid I don’t know what any of that means!! I free handed this with a single camera, I’d that helps answer any of your questions!
This one is cross-view and the other was parallel view, but otherwise I did attempt to align the images on this one a little better, but there’s a chance I made it worse, heh. 😅
Try tilting your head slightly and see if that works. Otherwise, if the original one worked for you, this one might be inverted, and the closest apple might look further away. That’s how I see it.

Made this on my laptop, so I was able to finagle it to be a bit cleaner, I think… I’m not sure because cross-view doesn’t come naturally to me! Let me know how it looks.
Edit: I might have made it worse… I can’t tell. 🧐
Thank you! I shot it with my smartphone camera (Google pixel6a), using a steady hand and a vague understanding of how cross-view/parallel view works. I had to retake it a few times, but I am happy with how it turned out!
Thank you!! Glad it worked for you.
Oops, I guess I made it parallel view instead of cross-view!
Currently listening to Persephone’s Curse by Katrina Leno, and very much enjoying it.
