

Thermals are definitely wonky and often needs tuning. My powercolor had atrocious thermals till I saw that it was oc-ed past the spec and runs 40% of available fan speed and throttle the clocks in a very questionable way to the spec values. It did work. But seeing 95C on hotspot is not really a thing I wanted to see. Now it’s more or less fine in the current age of gpus. It’s 83c max with spec-ed frequencies and better fan curve.

Putting aside that it’s idiotic anticonsumer patent. May I just ask here. How tf this even gets patented? Should I patent the act of showing the advertisement sign to my neighbors every time they open their door, so I can get exclusivity rights ownership on doing such an idiotic thing? Like why it gets accepted? It doesn’t sound even remotely technologically meaningful, neither it needs to withstand concurrency. It’s just a waste of tax money.
