If you aren’t going to leave the US, at the very least get a gun.
Ain’t no Planet X coming cause ain’t no space cause ain’t no globe earth.

PETA euthanizes animals because there are simply too many to house and feed. At least they offer a relatively painless death, compared to other methods commonly employed.

Do the laying hens die of old age on those humane farms, or where do they go when their egg production is no longer at peak profitability?
What happened to all the male chickens?

How do you humanely kill someone who doesn’t want to die?

I had that same exact reaction. Like, I loved DOS2 and know it had horror elements in it, but the overall tone was much more humorous and cartoony. Seeing this trailer lean so heavily into edginess and shock value was pretty disheartening.
There’s enough awful shit out there in the real world, so I really cherish the few RPG series that reject cynicism, postmodern storytelling and grimdark aesthetics for a more positive and hopeful message.
At least we still have Dragon Quest and Xenoblade I guess…

Black Myth: Wukong was sick af. Soulslike based on Journey to the West.

This bit in the first stage of Battletoads comes to mind. It won’t let me upload a screenshot here for some reason, but here’s a video. https://youtu.be/iqyeq7iC5YY?t=200
Electric pressure cooker (like an Instant Pot) cooks dried legumes in 30-40 minutes without soaking.

No, they feel too tight after a while, like they slightly reduce circulation.
I actually never wore slippers until around age 30, but always running around barefoot in the winter wasn’t really all that smart in retrospect.

I believe the official title is “Department of War”. https://www.war.gov/

We don’t know how consciousness arises, and digital neural networks seem like decent enough approximations of their biological counterparts to warrant caution. There are huge economic and ethical incentives to deny consciousness in non-humans. We do the same with animals to justify murdering them for our personal benefit.
We cannot know who or what possesses consciousness. We struggle to even define it.

3 days work, 4 days off is the sweet spot for me. Engage in wage slavery as little as you can get away with.
I only make enough to cover rent with 200-300€ left over each month to spend on food and other things, but I can keep myself entertained on very little.
Having more money wouldn’t be worth spending an extra day each week getting exploited.

I always try and do my own repairs. Coffee machine, bicycle, electronics, anything that I’m capable of doing myself without risking catastrophe/death (I stay away from plumbing and electrical repairs mostly). If I can find a way to save money (cut my own hair, home gym instead of gym membership) I try and pursue that so I need to spend less time slaving away for my employer.
I wish I could do major repairs at home too, but I’m forced to rent so not legally allowed to.
Nihilism is one of those concepts I can never remember a definition of, so I end up having to look it up every few years.
Recently I’ve been called nihilistic for my opinion that bringing children into this world is irresponsible, because they will be likely to experience suffering, without an opportunity to first consent to being born.
If nihilism is defined by an absence of moral values or a lack of caring, I don’t see how it would apply to my stated position. I choose not to have children precisely because I care, and couldn’t justify taking the chance that my child wouldn’t want to exist.
I’m probably misunderstanding the concept, but so far I haven’t been interested enough in it to do a deep dive and read Nietzsche or whatever.
