It is an amazing adhd game :)
I do not want to admit how much time it took to build a working boiler. My magma volcano was under powered so the whole cooling with the oil generators didn’t work.
Then I moved (destroyed the old one) and built a brand new in the core layer. Now that worked. But meanwhile my hydrogen production and oxygen generayors died down because the natural gas geysers and the excess co2 clogged my airways…
Oxygen not included - more evil than factorico - at least for me.
I believe it is going to be a huge deal as the gamers are aging out. (And if you play on a Tv).
Give me a freaking texts size option! And not just size 6 to size 8! Big effin text!
It is a huge pet peeve of mine.
Sailor Moon
Apothecary diaries
Dragon Ball
Reincarnated as a slime
Dan da danObviously the first of those is a have to, rest is to be changed as it comes and goes :D

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL about “Second Screen Viewing” and that Netflix pushes writers to make scripts and dialogues simpler to keep viewers who are on their phones engagedEnglish
2·10 days agoIt is a circle that keeps repeating.
Honestly there are only a few movies that I can actually watch, without doing something else.
Be phone, sodoku, fiber arts, working out, cleaning or ironing.
Being a non interactive medium - it has an uphill battle.
I almost prefer visual novels over most movies, and I hate visual novels. Now, Dispatch - that’s the shiznit.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why is science fiction so much more optimistic than real life? Is this a cognitive bias?
28·11 days agoNot All SF is optimistic. I could start bringing up huge names - but it doesn’t matter. That wasn’t really your question.
Fiction - be SF or Fantasy - is mostly* about escapism at the end.
People who read them don’t want reality. They want to forget stuff that bothers them, that they can’t do anything about.*Mostly, because some books are using fantasy/sf to introduce higher concepts, but usually that goes over most reader’s head.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do people actually believe those "gurus" on the internet that supposedly "give advice"? These seems very sussy and feel scam-adjacent, isn't it?
9·12 days agoIf you want to see how hard people want to believe they read on the internet… Watch some cop bodycam videos with sovereign citizens ‘traveling’
I believe it depends on the severity of the trauma. And of course our mental strength and if we are on the spectrum or not, have any abnormalities and so on… So many components.
If you had a single Mom and you only met your dad every weekend that could affect you.
If you were starved, beaten sold into sexual servitude and then failed by the legal system… I don’t think you can get over that.
But the first step is to understand how messed up it was and you didn’t deserve it. No child deserves any trauma.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Last-minute Xmas Gift Ideas for me (very poor) to get my aunt+family (very well off) who have been helping me out during a very rough time?
5·25 days agoYou could make handmade artisan popcorn clusters with chocolate, peppermint candy, caramel, and maybe chilli powder sprinkled - poured - melted on them.
Hmm, sounds great! Then it should work with hazelnut spread also. I’m still partial to Nutella > PBJ. But any fiber is good fiber! :)
That’s such a good idea!
I do recommend chia seeds soked overnight also. For better “turning to shit” power you can use a coffe grinder before soaking.
Great topping for cereals.

Games@lemmy.world•What free to play games can run smoothly on my old laptop?English
2·26 days agoNot smooth but Guild Wars 2 can run on those specs, obviously on very low settings.
Path of Exile should work also. These specs af not that bad. Most 10+ year old games should run easily. I would just check steam for older F2P games, there are a lot more. I think swtor and eso should run also. Those had F2P tiers.
It was a thing in Hungary, but I don’t think many still do it nowadays.
Smartphone as an answer would be cheating?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your biggest "first world" disappointment?
29·28 days agoWater isn’t free any more?
(I was told it was in the past. No water bill, how?)

I do love that the biggest challenge is your own incompetence. If you don’t know what to look out for, if you forfot to fix something, ifyou don’t build contingencies… Everything is your own fault :D
