It didn’t used to be as bad as it is today a short while ago. It will continue to be worser for the rest of our lives.

Doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, what matters is that you're paid.English2·4 days agoConsultants are paid to provide outside consensus. They strengthen the CEO’s perceived smartness. They give it validity. McKinsey, because of its brand, provides the most value to a CEO in the boardroom.

You’re delusional. Dems will continue to lose until they wake up.

She didn’t highlight it. Her main issue was abortion, which is divisive and/or indifferent to a lot of people. It’s not something that should ever be the centerpiece of a campaign.

It’s been turned into a lightning rod for Dems to banter about and clutch their pearls over without actually offering any real solutions to the problems people face.

Have you spoken to them? I speak to Trump voters every day. It’s what he says that matter. They do not give a shit about what he does. The Dems don’t speak or do anything about these things so can you blame them for choosing him despite all his lies? At least he talks about the issues.

So yeah, 100% that the average American doesn’t either.

Nothing in American politics means what it says on the tin. Just like how Dems are the “left.” Modern right wing movement that supports Trump is populist.

But they’d still be supporting the genocide in Gaza. They are slightly less warmongering than Trumps. Meh. Fuck the whole system.
Rookwood@lemmy.dbzer0.comtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•Remember, some different-than-them folks looking for fundamental rights and common decency was all it took to get 70 million people angry enough to vote in a dictatorEnglish1·8 days agoDuh. Like another poster said though, Trump campaigned on improving the economy. He said he would do it. The Dems are so spineless they won’t even lean into that. They focus on niche issues of minority groups. It’s a recipe for fucking losing and they know it is the worst part, because at the end of the day, they get their funding from corporate donors who will cut them off if they ever actually push for real change.

That’s where the whole thing falls apart and you get nihilistic voters and raging petty tyrants electing a fascist.
Rookwood@lemmy.dbzer0.comtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•Remember, some different-than-them folks looking for fundamental rights and common decency was all it took to get 70 million people angry enough to vote in a dictatorEnglish219·8 days agoThis is a dumb narrative that leads to petty bickering while we are currently living under literal fascism. The reason they elected a fascist is because they desire change from the status quo. Pronouns are not a positive change for most people. So of course they will pick a fascist over that platform, if that’s all it has to offer. The left has to get real, and I mean realpolitik. We have real solutions to offer these people. That’s what the message should focus on. Inclusion is a given with leftism. DEI is corporate virtue signaling.

No it’s a candidate problem. Blaming citizens is the same as Republicans blaming people for being poor. They are ignorant because there are no good leaders inspiring people to be better. And it’s of course because of money in politics. Decent people simply aren’t put up to run. Only the most bootlicking frauds are allowed to run. Dems are owned by corporate donors just as much as the Republicans.
