Also, and this is by no means a defence of the “big” part of big pharma, but I think it’s important to diferenciate science, medicine, and pharmaceuticals from the for profit and higher management/ownership elements of the industry, because pushing anti “big pharma” sentiment is exactly how every single health conspiracy theory (and the snake oil targeted at the most vulnerable people as a result) takes its hold.
