    Still not getting it.

He makes videos. Another YouTube channel scrapes and summarizes his videos with AI. This other YouTube channel sends him unsolicited emails, presumably written with an LLM, trying to get him to endorse generative AI services.
He had Gemini summarize the emails.
He had NotebookLM generate a podcast from those Gemini summaries?
    ???
Shit I need to get back to work.

  • You said things would be just as bad if Biden was president. That is a bad faith argument. I rebut it so you continually move the goalpost. That is arguing in bad faith. I’m fucking tired of this both sides are bad bullshit while we’re living under a christo-fascist dictatorship. We don’t need perfect, we need better. Voters continually take in this Russian right wing propaganda that says if Dems aren’t perfect then don’t vote for them, and all it gets us is further and further to the right. Go talk to a wall, I don’t care to hear any more of this drivel.

  • Oh I must have missed when Biden sold off public lands, sent masked thugs all over the country to lock up American citizens and anyone with a darker complexion away in concentration camps, gutted consumer protection, corporate oversight, environmental oversight, and every other agency that works for the people and not him, fired everyone in government not loyal to him, and sold of our national secrets to Russia. Must I go on because I have a whole notepad dedicated to keeping track of this shit. You cannot in good faith argue what you’re arguing. You’re just further pushing the Russian narrative meant to keep us so divided we can’t progress. The Dems are by no means perfect but it’s like comparing an apple with a few brown spots to a truck tire. I’d rather eat the apple.

  • ^Wow ^this ^user ^has ^all ^the ^same ^hobbies ^as ^me, ^maybe ^my ^people ^are ^out ^there… ^Oh ^wait ^bicycling? ^Nevermind

I kid of course, I could use a hobby that incorporates some kind of motion.

But for real $1k is part of a good used lens, a fifth of the camera I really want, or a couple of decent hard drives to add to the collection. I remember I once lost my shit over $10, now I can’t even get it up for $1000.

  • The Berenstain Bears mandela effect definitely predates Harambe. And though I certainly believe I remember the cornucopia, I’m willing to admit there could be a valid explanation for that. But The Berenstain Bears… That one keeps me up at night.

I know it is actually Bearenstain and if it was ever any different then there would be evidence, and that mandela effects are just a version of urban legends that play on peoples susceptibility to implanted memory, but I know it was Bearenstein.

I was an extremely pedantic and detail oriented child who loved to read and only had so many books. I still vividly recall many nights spent secretly awake studying the covers of those books, tracing the letters and reading and rereading the stories, thinking the bears must be Jewish like me even though they act very Christian. I had a few tapes as well and if they had a different title I was exactly the child who would notice and be upset about it. And speaking of I also remember the day my world was rocked by this revelation. Prior to it becoming a meme, back before the name ‘mandela effect’ was coined I came across one of the books and immediately caught the spelling. I dug up as many items as I could find and they all had the same spelling. I never felt so betrayed by my reality. I turned to the Internet for support but there wasn’t much discourse on it at the time, at least not that I could find. Now I’m being told I’m misremembering, but there is not a doubt in my mind they were The Berenstein Bears.

Most purported mandela effects are clearly just people misremembering, but I will die on Berenstein hill.
