Though I’m glad I didn’t go for P4 as well since they announced the remake literally 2 weeks later the sale. Kind of an asshole move honestly.

Got Persona 5R when SEGA did a sale a couple weeks ago, I’m about 12 hours in.

I’ve played a ton of Shin Megami Tensei games and spin-offs but it’s my first Persona (though I did play Tokyo Mirage Session, and it’s clearly more Persona than standard SMT).

Seems like that version of the game (2021 enhanced rerelease without microtransactions), was only on Apple Arcade, so it was already iOS/MacOS exclusive to begin with I assume.

I’m hoping they find a way to emulate/translation-layer it to PC though, it looks interesting.

They could have made them more accessible, I agree, but nowadays even simple AA/AAA-operated toys tend to lock their battery compartment with a screw.

I’ve had to open a switch 1 to replace the fan. That was quite a bite more annoying, with many more screws and tiny connectors to unplug and plug again. At least no soldering, but, I hope I don’t need that again on my 2 any time soon.

The game I played that I feel needed them the most was F-Zero GX. So, obviously it’s still racing, but they’re not used for throttle or brake, they make you slide laterally.

Chronologically, it’s just after 1, starting right after Samus’s escape from Zebes. She doesn’t even leave Zebes’s star system.

When the other Prime games take place is not clear though. It would be weird to cram all of that before 2 but I don’t think there is any other hint pointing at when they could happen compared to the 1-5 series, including Prime 4.

If someone wanted a full main canon run, they’d have to insert that Other game between 3 and 4. Seriously, though, nobody deserves that punishment.

Every time I hear about Project Zomboid, it looks like exactly the kind of game I’d want to play… but on a mechanics level only. I never really cared about zombie survival stuff, and the huge craze around the genre in the mid 00s to 10s only killed it to me.

Technically my first lemmy user was a couple months before, I’d followed a big reddit exodus around the time they killed third party apps, but I migrated to another instance a bit after that.

I thought 4-player was already making it a bit difficult to see where you’re going… 8 must be complete chaos.

I wonder how it runs though. Even on Switch MK8 4-player’s framerate is a bit subpar, despite culling a bit of scenery and such.

I don’t design web apps but I’ve heard from some that do that firefox occasionally has problems with them, because it relies a lot on caching (actually they used the term “aggressive caching”, with a few extra choice words).

Anyway, usually not a problem. I use edge only for work since it’s the default browser and I barely do any actual browsing with it, mostly light app clients. On my own devices, it’s been firefox only for years.

I don’t know, we have it a lot easier where I’m from. We simply call them ornithorynques.

Few years ago I completed the pokedex on Gen 6/7, using transfers back from Gen 4-5. That was fun. Especially Black, the way they balanced content in BW felt very fresh IMO, and the sprite work is very nice in Gen 5.

I kinda fell off the series after USUM, didn’t care about Let’s Go, there was the “dexit” debacle, the whole “get used to not being able to get eveyone in one game from now on”. And then the absurdly bad performance/glitch reports in new episodes.

Pokopia is my only Pokémon-adjacent game since Ultra-Moon, and that’s mainly because I heard it was great and I liked Dragon Quest Builders 2. And, to be honest, it is a very cool game. I just finished the base game’s pokédex.

Still a good thing to keep documenting the many reasons why people shouldn’t use it in my book.

If you like it, playing games every day with a full time job should not be some kind of magic trick, and if it is, there might be something wrong with your job.
