Judging by the way the cars drive over it I don’t think it is raised. There are probably hundreds or thousands of intersections like this around the country no one has ever though to add a diamond shaped roundabout to. Apparently the image below is a shot of the intersection before the diamondabout was added:

I don’t think the answer in that thread is correct.
Why would there need to be? It doesn’t sound like there was any studio interference or that the film makers were unhappy with the final cut.

We used to do pretty alright in Australia with these thick road map books you could pick up from any petrol station or newsagency shop. Imagine you had google maps in book form where each page was a section of a bigger map (basically a whole city) with a grid reference system, adjoining page references on each side and a vast index.
