Oh nice. Thats a cool project.
…its the cheapest expensive hobby i swear. You get one device and then keep getting more and more.

I like this one! I used to use better reddit + rif + small community reddit (less than 2000+ total members on some communities). It was fun while it lasted. Now im here! Hope you all enjoy for a while. Speaking of which how goes the mesh @icedraktajino@startrek.website ? I have a new meshcore and tastic node that im hoping will get better reception.
While nothing ever lasts, I hope that the fediverse can give you all happiness while its here!
My family does “digital detox” weekends before. Its made certain days more interesting and fun since we have to go out of our comfort zone to be entertained.
No screens are allowed.

Thats great!

Nice, glad you like the design. I do too.
I think in theory it would be easier to repair. But it is 250 which is quite a bit.
Ill know in a couple months!

If anyone wants to see the old project: https://hackaday.io/project/192688-the-open-book
Its been around for a bit. The newest iteration looks like its trying to be more like kindle.
GH page: https://github.com/joeycastillo/The-Open-Book
I forget where but the developer goes over the cost of the physical hardware a couple of years ago somewhere. Its kinda expensive to make your own open source ebook reader from mostly scratch.
I like this version: https://www.oddlyspecificobjects.com/projects/openbook/

Very similar to https://diptyx.dev/
But its been around longer. Software looks really good for an esp32. Im hoping we see more of these open source ebook readers pop up.

Because this is the peertube community.
He has all the links on the description as well.

Strange! Bots?

Ah so this is just something on this server. Carry on.
Ive found my own infa is the most stable. Gotosocial is my favorite at the moment. Or at least the most fun.
Almost all of the fedi is volunteer and making negative money. Burning money in big buckets.
GL! Hope your next adventure is a fun one.
Everything is efferial. Even our silly messages on the internet.

Interesting! Not that i dont believe you but is there a PR or code sample i can see? Id like to see what the actual code is doing. Thank you for the explanation.
I may be able to curtail a pr to address or at least make this instance specific.

Theres AD compliant software out there interestingly enough.

My office is slowly decomissioning our ms servers afyer the whole cloudstrike thing. Its been nice standing up linux servers again. And saves $$.

Im having a real hard time understanding and following this whole thing if im honest. Is there a pr/code i can look at tp understand what is actually happening at the moment? Im just not getting it.

Where did they say that?

Same. Im glad hes doing ok.

Not exactly what you are looking for but: https://piefed.social/f/fediversevideos has a LOT of channels and communities (like our sister community at !peertube@lemmy.wtf). If your on piefed, you can subscribe to the feed.
https://peertube.wtf/ has quite a few instances but it can be a bit on the slow side. peertube has issues with a lot of federation once the servers get 1000+ sources. The videos are fine, its just finding the videos that continues to be the issues.

They test a LOT of the packages from what I understand. Not a good or bad thing but it does make things harder to update as time goes on.
Interesting this is going to be on steam and other platforms. Must have been in the works before all the other management screwups.
