Do you have experience with ticks? You can’t stomp them. They’re too small and flat with hard shells and don’t squish. They have to be cut in half, burned, or drowned. Some people can kill them with their fingernails, but mine are too short.
I found two of them on my body later that night and killed them with tweezers. Or fire, I don’t remember which.
Also, deer ticks carry Lyme disease, not lone star ticks.
One time I saw a lone star tick crawl into the headphone jack of my phone.
I tried everything I could think of to get it out, to no avail. Then I googled two things:

After fifteen seconds of guinea hen sounds, I watched the tick crawl out of my phone… and immediately disappear.
When I upgrade to a new console, I put the old console in the original box. If I didn’t have that box, the console would just sit loose on a shelf in the back of my closet literally forever!
Now it sits there in the box. This is way better.
Best Christmas gift I ever got my dad. He’s a huge Christmas Story fan. It came in a big crate filled with straw and everything, with “HIS END UP” and “FRAGILE” printed on the side. I think it’s a little smaller than the official one, but still pretty big.
He puts it in the front window of his house every year.
I tried to get an electric kettle last year, but I guess they don’t make the kind that keep the water hot all day anymore. So I had to get a whole hot water dispenser that keeps it hot for days now.
Well, maybe one day. You never know.

I work in health insurance, and I just can’t bear the thought that you and I might never be friends.
But looking for a job is hard, and honestly this one is really good for me. It suits my narrow skillset, and it gives me a great work-life balance, which is the main thing I’m looking for while my kids are young. I quit my more demanding oil job to take this one so I could be there for them.
But if you have some kind of plan for how I could reform the entire industry by quitting my job at the bottom rung of a middling insurance company, I’ll gladly do it. I could always go back to working in finance.
Otherwise this is all just thoughtless, impotent bluster, untempered by life experience.
In real life, most of the people who work at insurance companies are doing their best to keep the system running, because people do depend on it despite its flaws, and I don’t have any more power to change it than you do.
Wrap the can in a wet paper towel. It’ll get cold much faster that way, possibly before you forget it’s in there.
