The people were what made it great. It was the best place to go to get opinions or advice from people. Once the platform started controlling what people could say, and how they could do it (APIs), that’s when shit went south. And now it’s not even really people anymore.

The bosses are also randomly selected. It very much is a roguelike

The only reason it hasn’t taken off is because of gamerbros that can’t handle anything besides realistic graphics

At time will work on Windows or Linux?27·8 days agoIt works perfectly fine on both my Windows and Linux systems. It’s so much better than any alternative out there that I would say it’d be more worthwhile to debug your issue than try a lacking alternative.
Uninstalling software doesn’t always completely remove everything related to the application, in fact it’s pretty common for settings/config files to be left behind, so you gotta check both the installation folder and your user folder if you want to completely restart fresh.
If that doesn’t help, OBS’ logs are easily accessible from its Help menu. Those should give you more insight.
If you really really wanna give up on by far the best streaming and recording software, AMD and NVIDIA have those features in the application that they ship with their drivers, but they’re extremely basic compared to OBS EDIT: this is only available in Windows AFAIK

It’s still got the same feel as the original show but they commentate Tiktoks and YouTube videos so it would be more relevant to Gen Z. Then maybe later they can move on to the original show if they really like it

I have a somewhat similar story.
I hid underneath a desk when it was my turn to play bad guy. It was one of those desks where the back wall doesn’t quite go all the way down and stops about 4 inches off the ground. I would shoot people’s feet when they walked by. It was hard to contain my laughter as people jumped up like they were scared of a rat running around.
It took 3 people walking through the room not knowing what was going on and thinking the room was clear before the 4th person actually stopped and looked behind the desk.
Me reading “Optimal Illusions”. The author seemed like she was on her way to blaming capitalists for optimizing for all the wrong things but then she suddenly took a hard right turn and proceeded to blame math instead of businessmen for why capitalism is out of control. Ended with a nice stroking of Sam Altman’s ego. She now lives on a tiny island in Washington where the liberal mathematicians can’t hurt her.

Bobby Turkalino@lemmy.yachtsto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anybody know of an online wallet, or other type of financial service provider, for storing Crypto who don't suck fascist **** ?9·1 month agoI see that you don’t like the idea of local storage in case you need to use your coins on the road, but you do know that local storage doesn’t mean your coins are stored on your device, right? It just means your private keys are stored on your device. You should just create a wallet on one device and then copy the private keys to all of your devices.
If you don’t own your private keys, you don’t own your coins. Use services only to buy/sell, not for storage
