We’re sexual beings in a world that increasingly refuses to acknowledge or meet our needs. It can express itself in odd ways. Freudian slips, odd behaviours, even internet usernames.

My pressure cooker always makes rice too gluey. I’ve tried different timings and measures, nothing works. Though I do have a really decent sushi rice process for the pressure cooker.

I didn’t get a rice cooker for years after my zojirushi mysteriously broke and I couldn’t get it repaired. Didn’t want anything teflon. Finally got a tatung. Really happy.

Just a bit of a mouthful, isn’t it? If you’re going to give notes on the English language, you gotta bring your A-game. Off the top of my head, “mom solo”. I’m sure there are better ideas, just don’t ask us to replace handy phrases with boring full sentences.

I’ve personally worked at multiple deli counters. By all accounts I was incredibly bad at it. The first time, on my first day I sliced the tip of my right thumb off down to the nub and shot arterial blood all through the display and got fired immediately. So I flatter myself that I am something of an authority on bad deli counter skills. And I tell you, this shit never happened.

I left my home country, but I’ve been fortunate enough to get friends to visit a few times over the years. Would be nice to make some new friends but my kid honestly runs out my social battery all on his own.

The standard burger bun is brioche (not very nice brioche, granted, but they still call it that)
