They regularly travel without passports or customs checks, live for extended periods in multiple nations without visas, they are essentially the proverbial citizens of the world. If the US falls and the dollar is wiped from the face of the Earth, they’ll have all of their money in European stocks, Asian currencies, and Middle Eastern real estate as they watch the collapse.
Which only works until you tank the country by pissing of your customers (aka other countries) enough and tank your currency.
