I went to Rosenmontag (Carnaval) in Freiburg yesterday. First of all, while waiting for the train on the way back a sudden thunderstorm had people squealing and running for cover. Then a hailstorm broke loose just as people got on the train so we all ended up with a neck full of hail. We got on the train with one of the Carnaval groups from Bad Krozingen, which regaled us to a rendition of “Schwarzwald Marie” on the way back.
I suppose you had to be drunk to find it funny.
