They signed up to perform at a non-partisan celebration of their country’s 250th anniversary. They backed out once Trump started attaching his name to the event and making it clear he wanted it to be a big rally
At least that’s the excuse they used once they started experiencing pushback.
Unless they’re even dumber than they look, they’d have known from the start that Trump was involved. That inevitably means that it’d all be about Trump, since he’s a megalomaniac toxic narcissist piece of shit with some cotton-candy hair stuck to it.
