Had a blowout over the weekend and was restocking my bag, so I thought to share.

I’ve got:

  • Tire levers
  • Combination allen key
  • $20
  • Tube w cellophane
  • CO2 w cracker

Looking at this list, I should probably add a quick link. They’re sitting in my tool chest right next to me. My saddle bag is also right next to me… now would be a great time to do that.

Anyways? How do you all pack?

Ought to? Theres no wrong way to do it. Tubes and levers are one thing, but they taste terrible. Snacks, tobacco, transit fare, or a cell phone all serve a real need in the saddle.

I mean, carrying some but not all of the stuff needed to change a tube is objectively dumb on my part. I should either carry all of it or none of it.

For example, pumps tend to stay strapped to the frame in their designated place, but tubes and levers stored in bags sometimes go missing when other cargo is removed.
