If you haven’t been propositioned by a “working girl” in the dodgy part of town, you haven’t lived.
My job’s premises just happened to be in the area - business unrelated - and the shortest route to the bus home passed through it.
It got to the point that some of them would - spitefully, deliberately, and in earshot - tell newcomers not to bother with me, because I refused so many times. I was never rude. Just a firm “no, thanks”. Apparently some didn’t take kindly to that.
A wheel good time.
Why do the hamster tunnels look like intestines?
I thought for sure it wqs going to be lemmywinks
And I hate how apt it is for the platform. I’m honestly surprised there isn’t an instance called lemmy.winks yet
Interesting how, given the prostitute has clothes, this implies the other hamster is walking around town naked
That’s why it hates that part of town, they’re a bunch of clothes-wearing freaks
And alllll they think about is s-e-x
smh
Red pipe district
The South Park game broke me.
Hamster hooker
xhamster
Excuse you. Hamster sex worker.
Doesn’t hooker also mean sex worker? As in the person who does hookups.
English is not my first language but I never thought it was a slur, I don’t think it is.
A hooker is a subset of sex workers. You wouldn’t call someone that makes most of their money on OnlyFans a hooker, but they are sex workers
As in the person who does hookups.
That’s not where the word originates.
The term “hooker” existed long before anyone called sex “hooking up.”
People used “hooking” itself as a verb to describe a woman having sex for money.
I don’t know if I’d call it a “slur,” per se, but it’s definitely derogatory, and has gone out of parlance in favor of more neutral terms like “sex worker.”
Because everyone deserves basic respect.
I’d call it a minor slur in English. More polite than “whor e” and less than “prostitute”
Hoomster.
