I don’t understand CNN’s site. As the link takes you to the top story and the Johnson story is 3 down but with now way to link to it directly

Talk about turning their backs on what Kirk would have wanted. If the guy murdered from a school shooting says school shootings are the price we pay for freedumb, then we should celebrate his brave sacrifice like he would have wanted.

Kirk had an experienced security detail backed up by campus police. All thwarted by a ubiquitous weapon wielded competently.

They’d have a lot more moral integrity if they all had to stand unguarded in front of their constituents and answer questions routinely and openly.

Doesn’t the fact they need armed guards speak volumes about their actions against the people?

Sorta. A lot of people are victims of attacks and don’t deserve it. I mean these goons definitely deserve it, though I’d like to see the US have systems to punish them legally and not need to turn to shootings to fix problems.

    Read REPUBLICAN lawmakers.

As people lose money to tariffs, lose their Medicaid coverage, get snatched off the street by masked Gestapo-like thugs and locked up without due process, and become more desperate, a lot of them will want a go at the sonsabitches congresscritters and senators who voted for this shit that’s happening in their lives.

If I was a Republican anything, even a local politician, I’d be scared right now.

And you know what? I’m struggling to find a violin small enough to express how bad I feel for them.

They didn’t care about extra security when the Minnesota murders happened. Evil fucks.

That Kirk was killed in front of a crowd was for the best, unfortunately. His artery was severed, and he bled out on stage. His death cannot be discarded as an abstraction. He was shot dead in front of a crowd, and it was recorded.

I live in a very small town, a very red town. The amount of people from friends and family posting rip This means war, etc etc, I’ve already lost most the friends in my life during Trump’s first term. About to lose a few more. wife and daughter are about my only social circle left.

I have to be very careful with what I post on other social media oherwise I’d most likely lose my job and be blacklisted from the community with no funds to move. Fuck I hate it here.

I really just want to scream fuck him in the town square

Right there with you brother. All our town billboards were about Kirk today… Father …husband… Patriot. I never speak politics at work or in social circles. People here assume I’m a repub but the wife and I vote blue in every election. Not that it does any good. Keep on being you on the down low and know you are in some good company.

Would love to. My wife and I make more money now than we have at any point in our lives and we have almost nothing to show for it and we’ve worked full time with no layoffs for 30 years and have each only changed jobs once. . We don’t spend frivolously we just don’t save well and when we do it always seems something comes up and wipes out our bank account, health, vehicle, etc.

      Read REPUBLICAN lawmakers.

That’s so often the case when the “liberal media” uses generic milquetoast terms like “lawmakers” and “Congress” and “Washington”, etc…

Very often this is a reference to REPUBLICANS, but the media is either nutless or just straight-up collaborating in the both-sides narratives.

I’m confused. These fuckers are doing everything possible to increase the number of firearms out there because that makes us all safer. So, what’s the problem. Furthermore, don’t these fuckers have the protective ring of Jesus fire because of their blinding faith? So, what’s the problem? Furthermore, isn’t it all just part of god’s plan if something happens to them? Who do these arrogant shit stains think they are to fight god’s will?

No matter how much and for how many decades they and the “liberal media” have been telling everyone that this country “leans conservative”.

The “liberal media” denies it at nearly every turn, but Americans do and have polled progressive on the issues for decade upon decade. But their narrative is that Democrats should move further to the right to appease the supposed “conservative majority”.

Maybe the progressives should vote consistently. It doesn’t matter how the country leans if they do t vote. The right block is the only one who consistently votes so it is who the parties target.

Who are progressives supposed to vote for? The fascist ghouls who want to turn the US into a theocratic kingdom? Or the neoliberal ghouls that are pillaging society for everything is worth to cater to the fascists? The Democrats can only claim “this is the most important election of our lives!” so many times before people realize they have no intention of making anything better. Progressive voters have been systemically disenfranchised for the past 50 years and told to vote or else

    Think of the children:

"They’re exposed all the time, everywhere. We have great security measures for members of Congress, but there’s a desire on many people’s parts to have more.”

Johnson added on “The Source” that he is looking into that request, saying, “We have to take serious measures for serious times.”
