This meme looks entirely AI generated down to the joke
This looks like the same image at a glance, but like atomicbocks said, it’s only proof of the plagiarism in the image generator. It spit out something very close to the original, but the proportions are off.
Here I’ve cropped it as close as I could get it to the OP’s and bridged the last gap with G’Mic morph.
(Animated webp, I can confirm Jerboa doesn’t support it.)
God, the proportions of the original head and hands are so much better.
It’s not something I would have properly noticed without the morph, I thought they actually were the same, but there was something about the original that felt more… bunny like?
It’s like when sound designers add stuff they know people won’t actually hear, but which definitely alters the “taste” of the sound.
That’s not the same nose and the spots are gone. All this really tells me is that image was used to train.
To all the people saying it’s “AI slop”, it’s not. This image is on a blog from 2014.

At least run it through a reverse image search before making any accusations.
ETA: Higher resolution image from 2016 here
not the same image, but op’s image is an ai upscale of the one you linked. the tells are
- the background is red instead of white
- the pattern on the sleeves is similar, but different.
- the original is flipped horizontally, and the upscale doesn’t know that, so it tries to “fix” the numbers of the pocketwatch, turning the flipped “IX” into… “N”
The reverse image search spotted it well, but it isn’t the same image. It’s very likely the source where the image generator got its ideas from though: https://lemmy.world/post/31578519/17746077
They don’t look the same and it doesnt look like differences that can be explained by photoshop.
