    • People are the most suspicious of the behavior they are most guilty of. The guy who thinks everyone is stealing from him, is probably stealing from everybody else. If it’s your boss, keep an eye on your paycheck. The person who always thinks their person is cheating on them, is probably a cheater. People do this because they’re trying to excuse they’re own behavior - “I only do it because everyone else is doing it to me,” even if they aren’t.

    • Commit to doing something difficult, even if it’s just a hobby, like running, working out, playing a musical instrument, writing, painting, learning a language, cooking, reading classic novels, birdwatching, etc. Having something that’s important to you, and investing deeply into it, will fulfill your soul, and give you something good to hang onto when times get tough. And they will get tough. And don’t tolerate people around you who dismiss or are disrespectful about it. It’s important to YOU, that’s all that matters. Their validation is irrelevant.

  • We just can’t allow it. No cancelling of elections under any circumstances.

It’s more important that your state authorities understand this, because elections are managed by the states. Trump can “cancel” elections, but it isn’t in his hands. The states would have to cooperate, and what if they don’t? What if they just tell him No, our elections will go on as planned?

We can have our elections anyway, no matter what he wants. If some Red states want to honor his demand, that’s on them, but I suspect that even Red states aren’t going to like it. There are plenty of ambitious MAGAs who want their shot at the corruption, too. They won’t be happy to know that MAGA isn’t accepting any new elected members.

And what about non-federal offices, like state and municipal elections? Those jobs have to be filled, too.

It’s not just a matter of saying no elections, there are a LOT of ripples from it.

  • An attack on US soil, historically, has prompted the American people to line up behind the American president

Not this time. 9/11 was different, and while the president wasn’t fully trusted after his coup, he wasn’t considered to be a Traitor and Pedophile, and more. People were willing to give the Republicans the benefit of the doubt. But then we found out they lied about EVERYTHING, and were wildly incompetent on top of it.

America is far more fractured now than it was then. If Iran commits a major terrorist attack on American soil, most Americans will blame Trump for inviting it.
