Btw, do you mind sharing, when you were in the US, what visa you were on or like did you have permanent residency? Did you leave because of the um… US politics recently? Or was it other reasons?

Democratic Voters don’t hate progressives, its the rich doners that hate progressives so they spend millions to fund the status quo candidates to keep thenselves rich.
I think they’ll try to slow the progress as much as possible. They’ll run candidates that like promise 50% of what the further-left candidate promises, cook up a resume that makes them look more “experienced” than the more further-left candidate, then when they win, they only do 10% of what’s promised, then find excuses, while continuing to masquerade as a progressive.
I mean, if I were a greedy rich person, that’s how I’ll manipulate politics.
I hear Hasan Piker (not a really a “fan” btw, just like to watch clips of people blabbing about politics) say that there are some people that were like “Bernie seems like a great guy, I hope he wins”, then prinary day come in their state and they’re like “What’s a primary?” 🤦♂️
Late reply but how harsh is the censorship? I was born in Mainland China and immigrated to the US when I was a kid; And I couldn’t imagine the life of not having Youtube. Like, I’m not even talking about the political content, there are so much Youtube Science and Educational content and some Youtubers are actually interesting to watch (Jacksepticeye, Markiplier). I’m a naturalized US Citizen, but I kinda feel like I’m in such an awkward place, being both a dissident in PRC, and also a dissident here in the US. Like, I used to like the US a lot, the cultural diversity, a lot of parks and I see a lot more trees and nature, the air and water is (I mean, before 2025) cleaner, now its really only just the still somewhat free access to the internet that I like, everything else seems to be falling apart with all the immigration raids happening, and the EPA and FDA being filled with yes-men, and I’m not sure my Citizenship will even hold, and China doesn’t have dual citizenship, meaning I could end up stateless if they go through with the authoritarian denaturalization efforts that they seem to be planning (I hope that doesn’t happen). Both are just terrible capitalist authoritarian regimes. 😓
CIA doesn’t even need to get involved. Just a “terrorist” accusation and arrest them.
Ban the wOkE government chemical Dihydrogen monoxide from our water supply! BAN DHMO, LIBERATE AMERICAN WATER FREEDOM! 🇺🇸🦅👊🇺🇲🔥🦅🇺🇸 USA! USA!
AOC won by a bigger margin in the general than in the primary.
Poor people be voting for the conservative while higher income people be voting for the socialist. This is so ironic…

Conspiracy Theory time: Most Democratic politicians are actually just robots piloted by far-right government agents
Pretty sure “LeninsOvaries” is satire given such a username. Like “it’s not like trump would ever do anything to hurt Gazans” that’s got to be satire lol
It’s 1933 and hitler is gonna take over the world and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. nazis are gonna win, might as well give up. They can never be defeated
“Submit, peasant. Resistance is futile!”
“Please proceed to the genital inspection area before using the segregated bathroom”
you cannot be compelled to divulge those
They can deny entry.
Even for US citizens, they could still detain you for 48 hours, seize all belongings, and put you on a no-fly list.
Somebody invite the Trisolarans
There are still countries even worse than the US.
And I think you’re underestimating the strength of an immigrant’s will to take risks to attempt to find a better life. Immigrants have suffered far worse throught US History.
I mean, just take a look at Wong Kim Ark. Dude didn’t just give up and leave, he stood his ground and fought though it, even though he had no idea if the US would even consider his case seriously.
And many people already have relatives in the US. So these are the risks they are willing to take to reunite. Unlike many westerners, who just completely give up on the slightest obstacles.
(Although I do think the much better option now is the EU, if they don’t have any relatives in the US already.)
Fun Fact: Did you know that like 30% of ICE agents are Hispanic/Latino Americans? 🙃
Family reunions must be awkward when your buddies deported your aunt/uncle/grandparent
“This person doesn’t speak
EnglishAmerican, must be an illegal immigrant” -ICE
