“Yes, son, you deserve to be free too.”

“Where are all the 'boo’s??”
Suddenly the crowd starts booing the contestant & the boo & the bees mix together on stage exciting everyone.
Well, not a ‘nutter’ compared to other billionaires tho.
Its not like life can’t severely damage you anyway, if there is a chance you could bounce back(-ish) … then sure, I think there is a chance I would give it a go.
It’s 57 thousand monies a minute.
3.4 million an hour.
Yeah, I wanted to point this out as well, glad someone/you linked it.
The memer is basically ‘would you get tortured for 30bn monies’?
And the kicker is that people torture other people like this without paying them, often/usually with the tortured not having done anything bad (not that that would justify torture of any kind).
I can’t afford to pay 30bn for this.
Can anyone help me out?

(That is the current state in most democratic-ish countries afaik, I’m not saying that is the inevitable state.)
Evil_Shrubbery@thelemmy.clubto politics @lemmy.world•78 year old congressman Jerry Nadler decides not to seek reelection, saying Biden fiasco showed need for "generational change"2·2 days agoThat’s a weird logic in that context - why would politicians link/limit max office age and then look for a way around it?
They could either just abolish it or if there was politicalwillpeople-power keep it bcs they’ve just installed it.You would have too make to many hypothetical 'if’s to get to that scenario making it impractical to debate seriously.
(Also raising retirement age from 62 to eg 65 doesn’t help them all that much, raising it from 62 to 85 is just lol - especially when they can simply vote in expedition for them.)
(booby trap used a bolt of electricity to zap the delivery person to dust?)
Ohhh … ‘Seven ate nine’, now I get it.
(As sexy math, not a ST reference.)
I hate how this is nostalgia now.
f7u12 really had me laughing.
(Or was it just me that still retained some capability to laugh at the time?)Good times.

… the yellow guardrails … didn’t need to be yellow, did they? Stainless steel, at least in parts of the shaft that’s gonna get rubbed hard … would bring down maintenance and improve looks.
