I’m pushing 40 so I’m not young but I’ve actually been buying more games lately thanks to being patient and not rushing out to buy AAA games along with switching from console to PC, gotta love Steam sales. I just bought two games I’ve been wanting to play for $30.

Exactly, Rawstory is basically the left wing version of Fox News, telling you what you want to hear instead of actual news. My basic takeaway from his statements is that the GDp is still growing just not quite as fast as it was last year.
I’m not an economist so I don’t know but the the S&P is also nearing in on a record highs again and it seems like most of the turmoil in the markets that we saw at the beginning of April is gone for now. I thought the Iran bombing would spook the market but not really. I know the markets aren’t the economy but it’s a bellwether for how the oligarchs and corporations are feeling about it.
You’re correct but I haven’t seen anyone outside of the lefty propaganda sites say that this actually moving the needle. The legacy news sites are along the line of “What does this mean?” and “Can someone like that actually be mayor of NYC?”
The way I see it, this could be a momentum swing but we need to capitalize and build around it. I understand why people were saying 3rd party candidates are a distraction during the election but now is the time to be pushing the Dems further left or coalescing around a new party. Get their ideas out there now so that even some brainwashed republicans might see the light before the mid term elections next year.
I like to have a drink or two but wouldn’t say dates go smoother with a drink. It depends on the people and the location.
Dinner at a nice place, sure, one or two alcoholic drinks with dinner is common but absolutely not necessary. Going to a coffee shop or some other cafe type place for lunch, I wouldn’t drink alcohol in a situation like that. You could do a more active date, like hike or go to a local museum or zoo. Some people like to get a drink after a hike but again it’s not necessary to drink alcohol.
I always liked to do the more active date and then maybe a meal after and sometimes that meal will involve alcohol but I live in a bigger city so I can get a taxi or ride share if I need it.
That’s exactly what you need to do! What others are saying is true, it needs to be a sustained movement and not just stop at 4pm. Thankfully there were organizing tents at the protests in Denver but I was in my hometown, in West Virginia, for the No Kings protest and there was a good turnout just not the organizing.
These protests are great places to meet like minded individuals and do your own organizing if not one else will. Change will not come with once a month protests, change will come from a large movement of organized individuals. You’re the one here who is closest with the people in your area, start talking to them and making strong connections.
