When it comes to misogyny or rasicsm you wouldn’t tell someone to just try and do less of it.
Idk, these are very different things. If I think about how much I hate (some group) then I may be a racist based on that alone. If I don’t consume animal products but I fantasize about eating a cheeseburger I would still be a vegan.
Nobody is going to literally say “just do less racism” but in practice we often only deal with small parts of someone’s racism.
Sometimes one, sometimes the other, sometimes somewhere in the middle.
I’m not American so I’m not super well versed in American politics… but I didn’t realize until reading your comment that there isnt really a chance at seeing sweeping changes as a result of this election.
I know that what I said isn’t the literal truth. I work in a relatively conservative male dominated workplace and people who bitch about trans things are ONLY bringing up M2F. It’s what they’re most worried about.

Because they were actively investigating it. I’m not going to say they did a great job but releasing stuff to the public to create a witch hunt isn’t the ideal. Neither is just not going after these people.
Export tarrifs is a sketchy game to start playing. We still buy a bunch of food and other important stuff from the USA. I try not to, but I wouldnt want to impact food security.
Maybe the people selling tge specialized stuff to farmers just increase their price for Americans. This is definitely a situation where we the individuals have the collective power to fuck them.

Ya, I kind of gathered that from the way it was described but this wasn’t even remotely customer facing. Not that it makes it ok in customer facing jobs either but it blew my mind.
I didn’t realize how bad some of these issues were until I was talking to a woman I work with. She was sort of half considering going back to an old career (white collar, not public facing) instead of our workplace (very much blue collar/male dominated) but she mentioned that she doesn’t want to have to start wearing makeup again. I was a bit confused because I didn’t think that makeup would really be seen as a requirement there. She said it wasn’t a requirement but there was a lot of pressure to do it.
Daily makeup looks almost as bad as occasionally wearing heels to me, but I do neither so IDK.
I’m in Canada. I thought she lost her seat in 2024 or something because I hadn’t heard anything about her.
