Yeah, I’ll never go back to windows on my personal devices after school. I have a budget laptop that I don’t do anything personal on for school that has windows. As soon as school is over, windows is gone.
They literally grow in their own “packaging.” Wtf?
Some places like diners and cafes do and you pay there with a cashier. But most bars and sit down restaurants have it inaccessible. As to why, I couldn’t say for sure, but I imagine it is to prevent theft of cash.
Sure, but you need to pay, and if all you have is a card, they’re not going to let you into an employee area because you’re being weird about a very basic interaction. In fact, that’s even more reason to not allow you into an employee area for their safety. When you’re in another country, you have to go with their flow, regardless of what you do at home.
I don’t believe you’d enjoy an interaction with our police…
It was the general reading/vocabulary.
While I see your point, it’s a tough sell to most people. Those individuals are exploiting everyone else and actively fighting against us all receiving that care.
Very true. Hopefully, he still enjoys reading today.
I had a coworker approach me on break and start telling me about a book he was reading and how much he was enjoying it. Towards the end, he mentioned struggling with it and that he wished someone had told him how great reading was earlier. We were both damn near 30, and it was a YA novel. I resisted the asshole urge to roast him because, shit, at least he’s trying?

It really is incredible how much land is used, pollution created, and environmental devastation caused to create more waste for landfills, furthering the aforementioned problems. Meanwhile, folks starve next door and around the globe. Coming down from the trees was a terrible decision.

Send all the Europeans, Americans, and Canadians back home. Have trials, then hangings. Return all stolen land/property to the victims (or their descendants) of the colonizers. You know, post geonicide things.
Anybody who thinks that behavior is rude is a busy body snake and is best avoided, regardless.

The only ones that don’t, are far right zealots that shout for other Israelis to commit geonicide. Many of them are also settlers who engage in horrendous pogroms, supported by the state, IDF, and populace at large. Finally, the oppressed owe their oppressors no quarter and are not required to play respectability games or pass purity tests. They can’t afford to, their very futures depend on it.

Everyone is entitled to private moments, and it is strange that friends would feel entitled to your location, particularly when the focus should primarily be about the safety of the group. I suppose we have young people who have come of age in an era when they’ve had little digital privacy. This doesn’t just include corporations and governments but also from their guardians. I could see how this may seem normal to them, but it seems unhealthy from where I’m standing.
It was the first, and then Christian weirdos put its name recognition on a rocket to the moon, so now it’s the kleenex of the category.
