Agreed, but occasionally I have to use a site that doesn’t work properly on Firefox-based browsers. I mostly use Cromite to deal with that, but want a backup in case Cromite dies like its predecessor Bromite did.

Sorry, but short attention spans combined with deliberately minimized education levels will ensure that not only are most Americans not ready, but that they will blame whoever has the misfortune to be in charge when the aftereffects of everything Trump has done finally firmly take hold. My fellow Americans morons haven’t a clue what “looking at the big picture” means.
Thoughts on Vivaldi?

Trump knows what’s going to happen when he does these shows. He does it on purpose to feed his “victim” complex. He needs fresh “proof” every once in a while. MAGAts eat that bullshit up.
I dunno… “Holes” doesn’t seem like it’d be all that boring…

Tried it shortly after initial release, felt very cartoony to me, didn’t like. Very much a function over form person, which seems to be a disappearing breed nowadays.

Until the vast majority of voters who are too self-absorbed to bother understanding how they’re being led around the nose into screwing themselves — and blaming the wrong people for said screwing — nothing of any real significance will change. All those dystopian movies have it right: the masses will march like lemmings straight to their own doom before they even begin to question what they’re told. There aren’t enough of us who know better to stop this inevitability.
Which, amusingly, is using “AI”.
(Just had to respond to this bit of amusing cognitive dissonance.)
Damn, that’s a good point. I remember how people were able to get about using horse and buggies. We don’t need all these cars, trains, etc.
And you assume that I’m an “AI cultist” because I’m not rabidly fighting it as so many here are. If we don’t acknowledge it has some potential for some uses, then we are going to be left even further behind on the technology curve than we are already making ourselves. China is quickly taking over the leadership role from the US in so many spaces it’s dizzying. Acting like a bunch of angry mob luddites is not going to help minimize that fact - in fact, it only helps China’s aggressive moves.
Your “all or nothing/my way or the highway” opinion is what’s trash. There’s nuance to be considered in everything if you care about what the actual truth of any particular matter is. Yes, there are limits to how far down that hole you should bother to go, but you’re not even acknowledging it’s there.
I’m not defending the over-the-top hype about it, but from a pragmatic perspective it’s obviously capable of doing some things that are useful such as the flyer above. Yes, we should be very judicious in its use, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely useless.
Yes, the energy needs currently are absurd, but I’m sure the earliest building & room-filling computers were the same — while we were far less conscious of the energy consumption at the time. Things improved eventually, and this likely will as well. I agree it shouldn’t be used nearly as much as it is being pushed in its current form, but the reality is that it will still be used nonetheless.
Okay, so you’ve proven you’re a troll - congrats, & reported.
“lazy and disorganized”
Presumptuous and judgemental much?
cant hire an artist
Never worked under an extremely limited budget, huh?
why would the rest of their event be any good?
Because they expended more time and effort on ensuring the event was good than they did the flyer, maybe?
Good to see you yet again have nothing of value to add to the discussion.
To a point, I don’t disagree. Reality does reality things, however - whether people like it or not. Otherwise we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Ty - I’ll give UC a try.
