Have we forgotten Obama’s 2008 campaign? He disproved the theory that racism was more powerful than platform but here we are saying the same things 20 years later. Put a progressive on the ballot, no matter their race or gender, and see what happens.

Obama certainly acted like a centrist but that’s not how he campaigned which means that’s not what won him the election.

I agree in principle but digital doesn’t come without drawbacks. It’s pretty difficult to keep a .exe file accessible for 30+ years even if your intentions are good. A service like Steam is a decent solution but that’s still a point of failure outside your direct control. A physical disc is simpler to keep track of in a lot of ways. If it gets damaged you lose one game, not potentially hundreds or thousands.

The last time there was another option on the table he became the first black president in our nation’s history. Perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned there.

That’s what they said about far left black men until Obama came along running as a progressive and won handily. For some reason we didn’t learn any lessons from that and went right back to boring centrist candidates afterwards.

That’s a very generous interpretation of his statement. What about this administration makes you feel comfortable downplaying the chance that he means something worse than the most charitable meaning you could assign to his words?

Why would you not want the best tool available for the job? It may not be sufficient on its own but it’s better than either surrendering quietly or throwing rocks at them which seem to be your alternatives.
