Yeah, one of our problems was rain and thick fog causing massive drops and even disconnects on the connection going out from the router as 2.4Ghz really doesn’t like water. I have a family member like that. They’re not religious of any kind, worked with fine electronics in factory, etc. and is by no means stupid. Earlier this year they started ranting about children supporting terrorism and no one understood what was going on. Until they revealed that some kids had written “Stop killing children” with chalk on the sidewalk. All because of TV news with anchors and all that. Not even some far right or conservative channel, just traditional and usually pretty neutral news. But they leave out 90% of what is going on.

Yeah it’s not the best, but it can be pretty effective since it evaporates at hive temperatures and disperses.

The point is that the commercial miticides are far from the only option that works, and that they’ve known about the issue for decades.
