Nobody needs social media. There are a tons of other tools that replace what little functionality they have. They’re just not one click and all your friends aren’t on them.

Because one is public access to the web, the other is a private platform, and not the web. Facebook and Instagram aren’t the web and aren’t open access to the world’s information.
