    It put the store name in your mind. It is now more likely that the next time you need shoes, that store will be in your list of potential stores to shop for those shoes. It worked.

      Unlikely, they’re one of like 5 shoe stores in the local mall. This goofy ass picture isn’t going to make me go there any more or less likely than before.

      I can’t speak for anyone else, but if a company has ads that annoy me I will purposefully go out of my way not to shop there. It won’t make me think of them when I go to buy shoes, and when the brand comes up in conversation my first though will be a negative one associated with their annoying ads because that’s literally the only thing I know about them. Really can’t see how that’s a winning marketing strategy but I’m not gonna stop them from wasting billions on ads I’m just gonna block anyway 🤷‍♂️

        Next time you go shopping you won’t remember “an ad that annoyed you”, you will “just think of the store”.
