While I don’t think she herself had anything to do with Epstein, the fact that people in her entourage did is its own problem. If I had a member of my team who tried to hook me up with an already-convicted paedophile, I would have to wonder what sort of operation I was running and what sort of people were buzzing around me. I’d have to wonder why they thought I’d be OK with it.

Look she’s a horrible person and I hate her as much as the next trans, but none of the news coverage on it I’ve seen so far actually has any evidence she was involved in the invitation. This kind of enthusiastic perpetuation of misinformation isn’t ok just because it aligns with our views.

That was actually the whole joke here. She spent all this time spreading unfounded rumors about trans people and now there will be unfounded rumors about her because Epstein mentioned her in an email.

The joke in the meme is John Cena laughing at JKR being in the Epstein files, though. That’s not a joke, it’s disinformation.

If the text said something about it being rumored, that would feel more like a joke. That would be sweet karma. But it’s not cool when they post disinformation, and it’s not cool when we do it either.

While it’s non-defensible; a lot of people just believe what they see in memes. A family member of mine is like that.

John Cena… The guy who’s famous for saying “You can’t see me!” which spawned millions of memes.

It’s called tongue in cheek… I deserve smarter detractors.

                That makes no sense.

“The guy who says ‘You can’t see me’ thinks its funny that JKR is in the Epstein files” doesn’t change anything.

The “personal attack” quip shows your hand, anyway.

Look, all I’m saying is that if someone goes and repeats disinformation to someone who knows better, it makes them look dumb, which makes the movement look dumb. It doesn’t help anyone. It makes us more emotional, which makes us less effective.

Sounds like your meme went over my head then, but I still maintain that the comment I replied to is possibly misinformation.

Thank you for bringing this up. I agree, disinformation is harmful no matter where it comes from.

She “clears air” simply with this tweet:

This is beyond silly. Neither I, nor anybody on my team, ever met, communicated with or invited Jeffrey Epstein to anything.

(The rest of the article is just irrelevant context to make it longer.)

      Neither informative nor particularly convincing.
