          Interestingly, the page says regular potatoes are stem tubers, differentiating them from and acknowledging the existence of root tubers, which includes sweet potatoes.

    This is where precise language is important! The recipe should have specified 5 cubic potatoes, to distinguish them from the 1-dimensional kind
